From Los Angeles to Oslo, and beyond.
Home isn’t always a place. Sometimes it’s a person. Sometimes it’s a feeling. Sometimes it’s something you spend your whole life creating. The people in this issue are real people worth knowing. From Durek to Red Moon, each of them has chosen a path that doesn’t always follow the expected one. Choosing a different path can be lonely, but it’s often where the most meaningful stories begin.
For this issue, we wanted to explore what it means to build a life that feels like your own. That idea came to life in our shoot with Red Moon, photographed in Norway and shaped around the work of Norwegian designer Daniel Steien. Known for his sculptural, expressive approach to fashion, Steien creates pieces that feel almost otherworldly, somewhere between clothing, object, and art. Together, Red Moon and Steien gave us a way to explore HOME beyond its literal meaning: as identity, transformation, and the freedom to become whoever you choose to be.
If this first issue inspires even one person to trust themselves a little more, to embrace what makes them different, or to believe that there’s no single way to build a meaningful life—or a meaningful home—then we’ve accomplished exactly what we set out to do.
Welcome home.
